The facilities are pretty basic at The King Alfred gym, however it is often quiet and so you don't have to wait for equipment. There is a separate room for cool downs/ calisthenics etc but not really the best gym if weight lifting is your speciality.
This gym is more appropriate if you are into swimming or badminton as they have specific space for these activities, however the downside is that the gym cost over £6 per session if you are not a member?! When you are a member however, you get access to several local gyms throughout Brighton and Hove which can be handy if you move about Brighton a lot. This cost roughly £30-40 a month depending on the membership.
I've rarely seen a PT here, however the staff are always super friendly and will help you out with any advice/ workout plans anyway.
